Sculptures
The sculptures were originally modelled in clay and wax by James at The Studio, Minerstown, Co. Down. All bronze was cast at The Foundry, Belfast Metropolitan College.Bronze pieces have been mounted on two types of plinth:
Connemara Marble sourced directly from Kevin Joyce at the marble Quarry in the hills near Recess Connemara, County Galway.
And
Mourne Granite sourced from McConnell’s Quarry near the Silent Valley in The Mountains of Mourne, County Down.
All plinths have been polished by McConnell’s Quarry, Silent Valley.
The McConnell family were the Memorial Sculptors to Princess Diana.
